Maison Dodo
Why Maison Dodo?
Maison Dodo stands against the "commercial scent" approach of the industry and defends the purest form of emotion.
The first and only Extrait de Memoire collection in Türkiye demonstrates that perfume is not merely a product to be sprayed, but an art form to be touched. This collection is a manifesto that inspires those who want to enter the world of fragrance and encourages them to create their own memory notes. Extrait de Memoire offers everyone in Türkiye who wants to experience fragrance as an art form the freedom to follow their inner voice.

Natural Resource Consumption
Natural fragrance production isn't always "nature-friendly." Raw materials like rose, sandalwood, and oud require vast plant masses, and when demand rises, nature struggles to regenerate. Valuable resins, especially oud, are formed through trees' natural defense mechanisms over many years. When these trees are cut down unchecked, the ecosystem suffers rapid damage, with some species nearing the brink of extinction. Sustainable agriculture, controlled harvesting, and synthetic alternatives are crucial for reducing this pressure in modern perfumery. Otherwise, the perfume industry will be depleting its most powerful source of inspiration: nature.
Use of Animal Content
Historically, some valuable perfume ingredients, such as musk and ambergris, were derived from animals. Collecting these substances could disrupt animals' natural rhythms or lead to the exploitation of certain species. Today, synthetic versions of these ingredients are widely used, a more ethical and ecologically sound approach. However, the pressures inflicted by the use of animal ingredients in the past still leave their mark on ecosystems. The goal in modern perfumery is to find alternatives that harm no living beings, do not exploit nature, and are produced entirely within ethical boundaries. This approach makes perfume more than just a scent; it is also a conscious act of kindness.
